Resident Meal Plans
In order to meet your campus dining needs, we have designed the following meal plans for the 2016-2017 academic year. All resident students are required to participate one of the meal plans. The university offers 4 meal plans, each with a different level of participation. Typically all new students are enrolled in Plan II. All meal plans function as declining balance accounts with the account balance divided into 15 weeks per semester. Meal Money is not added the Friday before finals week. Every account is reloaded on a weekly basis; balances carry over from week to week and between semesters. These balances do not carry into a different school year and accounts are non-transferable. You may add money to the account balances at any time. Changes may be made to the plan level you are on before the end of the second week of the semester. These changes are made at the Resident Life Office or email RESLIFE@LEWISU.EDU.
- Plan I - $1,680
Weekly Allowance: $112.00. Recommended for students planning to eat 1 meal a day
- Plan II - $1,880
Weekly Allowance: $125.33. Recommended for students planning to eat 2 meals a day
- Plan III - $2,080
Weekly Allowance: $138.66. Recommended for students planning to eat 3 meals a day on campus
Selection of a Campus Dining Services Meal Plan entitles you to an activated Student ID Meal Card, which allows you purchasing power equivalent to the plan you have selected. Here’s how it works:
After you’ve made your food selection, a cashier will scan your student ID at the register to complete the transaction. The sale amount will then be deducted from your meal plan account. The receipt will reflect items purchased along with the remaining balance on your account.
Lost or stolen Meal Cards
Lost or stolen meal cards can be replaced. Should this happen to you, immediately contact the Food Service Office at ext. 5387. A hold will be put on your meal plan account until a new student ID is issued.
One of our main goals is to provide a pleasant, clean, comfortable and satisfying dining experience. In order to meet this goal, we ask for your assistance with the following procedures:
- Please bus your tray and disposables from your table when you have finished dining.
- Please refrain from taking food, dishes or utensils from the dining area.
- Remember that Meal Cards are non-transferable. Meal cards cannot be used by anyone but the purchaser.
Do you have particular dietary needs? No problem! Our Campus Dining Services Program can accommodate your special dietary requirements. For more information, please contact the Food Service Office at ext. 5387.
